"Postponed relaunch- hugely disappointing"

About: One Recovery Bucks

(as a service user),

ORB, Recovery Cafe, Fitness Group, Peer support, Service User Plus

We were told today in the Service User + meeting that the Recovery Network relaunch will not be happening in June. ~ Some things will be going ahead, but not the daily cafe...

And the staff member will no longer be doing the Fitness Group --- I just wanted to say how disappointing this is. How unfair it is on that staff member.
It has been very successful so far. ~and this should be supported.

So many people have been looking forward to the relaunch, and it is just hugely disappointing (Very sad - if the funding has been pulled!)

Thanks for taking your time to feedback your experience of our service. We have just completed a service user consultation via survey monkey regarding what people would like to see in our recovery network. The survey has now closed and we are currently analysing the results and will be organising new timetables to re-launch, our plan is to increase recovery opportunities (from what people want) to 3 hours per day on both key sites.

I am not sure where you heard that the cafe's would be open daily, as this was never an agreed plan, although they will be open for tea's and coffee daily like they are now.

I have assurance from Lewis that he will continue running his sports / health and fitness programme. I am not sure what you mean by its not fair for the staff member but I would be more than happy to discuss with you personally.

As service manager I want to stress clearly that no funding has been pulled and we are soon to be joined by two new members of staff who will be helping re-launch the network for the next 12 months, as we know our recovery network is such a priority especially for those in early recovery. We also believe that recovery is contagious and by having an active network this will help motivate others to achieve their own personal recovery goals.

I am sorry that you have been left with such inconsistent messages about the network, but I can confirm the consultation has finished, and the next steps are now planning the re-launch operationally so we can make it a success. We do look forward to having you and everyone else on board.

Apologies again for any confusion and I am happy to meet in person should you want to discuss further.

Regards

Tracy
