"Birth Suite/NICU & Post Natal Ward"

About: Burnley General Hospital / Maternity care

I gave birth to my 2nd son in Sept 2018 here and unfortunately developed sepsis during labour which in turn was passed to my son...... luckily for us and thanks to the amazing quick thinking staff on duty that day both myself and my son went on to make a full recovery. The experience was scary to say the least but I cannot thank the staff especially my midwife & on duty consultant enough I literally owe mine and my sons life to these people so THANK YOU!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay from September 2018 at the Birth Suite, NICU and Postnatal Ward at Burnley General Teaching Hospital following the birth of your second son.

It is lovely to receive such positive feedback regarding the care and service you received during your stay and we are delighted to pass this on to the staff who will very much appreciate your comments as they always strive to deliver safe, personal & effective care.

If you would like to provide us with further information about your experience then we would really value this so that we can try to make it like this for every patient visiting our hospitals and using our services.

You can either contact me (Sarah Ridehalgh) on 01254 734471 or by email at patientexperience@elht.nhs.uk.

Thank you again for commenting, best wishes and lovely to hear you have both made a full recovery.
