I have recently finished a 6 week course on the Well Now, in Dingwall with Fiona and Val. I would highly recommend anyone to go to these classes.
Having struggled with my weight for the majority of my 51 years, and having tried every diet possible, I was getting to the end of my tether. My GP suggested I try Well Now classes. I went along, surely its going to be another "portion control/ you must eat more fruit and veg/ you have to walk 5 miles a day and enjoy it" kind of class? No, it is a refreshingly new approach to a new healthier you. To realise that there are other people out there who have the exact same issues/ feelings as I was having was a revelation in itself. To actually get my brain around I can be fat but healthy was another very new thing to get to grips with. The main objective is to get the mind healthy, then the body and if you lose weight then good on you - a bonus.
You come away from these classes so uplifted and cheerful compared to leaving slimming classes dejected and depressed because you either only lost a pound or put on two. I was lucky with the the group of people in my classes, we had a great time and knowing we were not alone is a massive boost.
So my advice for anyone out there, if you want to meet new people; get healthy; and have a laugh while doing so get along to a local Well Now class ASAP. You will not regret it.
