"Possible broken foot"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

A big thank you to the A&E team this morning for seeing me with a suspected broken foot. I was taken care of at reception immediately and sent through to triage. After a wait of only 10 mins, I was seen and assessed and taken through to x ray, where again I was seen within 10 minutes. After a short wait, I was then seen by a nurse practitioner, who discussed my injury and advised me of simply ligament damage, rather than a break. I was advised on how to manage the issue then discharged. I was looked after with dignity and respect during all my time at the hospital. I would like to thank the staff again for their carr and consideration my very short stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience in our Emergency Department.

It is really positive to hear that you felt so well informed and cared for with such dignity and respect by all of the staff in the department.

Our Emergency Department is an extremely busy department and it's really reassuring to hear that your time with us made you feel safe and well cared for.

I will most definitely pass on your kind words and positive comments to the teams that were involved in your care.

Our very best wishes to you

Kathryn Glass
