About: Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

I was seen by liason psychiatry in St James..the doctor did not tell me that he worked for the Leeds and York Trust , not the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. There was no reason to hide the truth, but hiding the truth just led to mistrust.I then was told I would be discussed in the community team MDT, I asked what doctors would be present and I was told that they didnt give out that information. Patients have the right to know who is involved in their care.

Hello

I am sorry this has been your experience when attending Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust (LTHT) Services.

Doctors employed by Leeds and York Partnership Trust (LYPFT) do work from the LTHT site and anyone seen should receive a full explanation of the work LYPFT staff do in partnership with other organisations and colleagues. I’m sorry you didn’t feel this was explained properly.

All NHS staff are required to wear their ID badges and should introduce themselves as standard courtesy when meeting patients they are providing treatment to.

We will share your experience with the teams working from our partner sites to ensure that our staff are clear in introducing themselves to the people they treat and that they confirm the understanding regarding who is responsible for their care.

With kind regards
