"My daughter"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Ear, Nose & Throat (Ward 11b)

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had surgery to remover her tonsils and adenoids and had grommets fitted. I was really nervous and was a bit worried about how my daughter would be after the surgery. The staff were all absolutely fantastic and meeting the anaesthetist and surgeon and being able to speak to them beforehand was great, they were both amazing and helped reassure my daughter.

Dear Amilsmum,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. I hope your daughter is on the mend and making a good recovery.

I am delighted to hear about your positive experience and I will pass this on to the nursing, anaesthetic and surgical teams. It will make their day to receive your feedback.

Many thanks again.

Dear Amiismum

Thank you for the lovely comments about your daughters experience in the ENT Department at the QEUH.

Surgery can be a nervous time for any patient not least a young woman so I'm glad you felt the staff supported you both. It was great to hear you got to meet the anaesthetist and surgeon prior to her operation I'm sure this would have helped put both your minds at ease.

I will pass on your comments to all involved in your daughters care which I'm sure they will be delighted to hear.

I hope your daughter is recovering well after her operation and thanks again for such great feedback.

Kind regards

Kevin
