(as the patient),

I attended the Hull & East Riding Stop Smoking course based at the Frank Scaife Sports Centre in Pocklington, East Yorkshire. The course 'tutor' was Claire Kipling.

Any anxieties I had about the course soon disappeared. Claire was exceptional both in her manner and knowledge of the subject. I felt at ease during every visit, and believe Claire was instrumental in my success in kicking the habit, after nearly 50 years of being a smoker.

I sincerely hope that the NHS does not have any plans to cut this service. If the service I received is the standard across the Hull & East Riding, then lots of smokers will be missing out on a truly excellent service, which has , I believe, a growing success rate.

My thanks to Claire and the NHS once again.

I am so please you have the found the service beneficial in supporting you to become smokefree. We continually look to improve our service based on the feedback we receive from clients in partnership with introdcuing new and innovative ways of working to meet the lifestyle needs of clients from varying backgrounds. We are very proud of the knowledge, skill and understanding of our staff group, which as you say goes a long way in supporting clients on what is an extremly difficult journey.

Well done on quitting and good luck for the future.
