"Incompetent receptionist in UCC"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) / Accident and emergency

My mother was really sick and in a lot of pain. I took her to St Mary’s hospital and we were referred to the UCC. I gave the receptionist our patient number to book us in. She said she booked us in and asked us to take a seat. I asked how long is the waiting time and she said approximately 2 hours. My mother was suffering for 2 hours and was in so much pain. After 2 hours I asked them to tell me how long more it will take until we are seen by someone, only to find out that the receptionist had not booked us in at all and we were not even in the queue! We had to wait for 4 more hours to be seen as we were the last ones in the queue. We waited there for 5.30 hours and my mother had to lie on the floor to be able to handle the pain.
