"Bad attitude from receptionist"

About: General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde

(as a carer),

Telephoned Medical Practice to get my mother's test results as I always have done, and was met with "hole picking" receptionist, asking if my mother was there, all "data protection". What part of "I am my mother's full-time carer/power of attorney" don't they get? I had to shout to my mother are you okay with me getting your results - just as well my mother isn't unable to speak. I have never had any problems calling in for my mother's results before this.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to post feedback in relation to your recent experience. I am sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced in obtaining your mother's test results and have been left feeling annoyed.

As GP's are independent contractors, I would suggest that you contact the Practice Manager who can respond to the issues you have raised. If you don’t feel comfortable contacting the Practice Manager directly, I can forward your post on your behalf.
