I was told not to have my baby at croydon hospital but thank God I did not listen to all those people. From the beginning, the staff were attentive, friendly and professional. They had a lot of knowledge and were able to answer any questions I may have had. I spent a lot of time in maternity triage and on hope ward and everytime I was there, I felt comfortable and well looked after. Even after my baby was born, while she spent time in SCBU, I was able to get a room and stay at the hospital in a parents suite to be close to my baby so that I can feed her. My baby was also well looked after. Even after discharge, the home visiting team has been fantastic too. My daughter is now 4 months old and doing well. I’m forever grateful to all the staff (from triage, hope ward, labour ward, Mary ward, SCBU and the health visiting team) who helped me on that long and difficult journey to bring my daughter into the world safely and care for her for first 4 months of her life. I will now always recommend Croydon hospitals maternity services everywhere I go.
