"Excellent staff"

I had a positive result through the bowel screening programme and attended Wishaw General Hospital to have a colonoscopy.

I received excellent treatment from the prompt receipt of sample results to the friendly cheerio after after colonoscopy.

My first contact with the unit was a pre-assessment by phone. The nurse who telephoned me was friendly and understanding informing me what a colonoscopy would involve.

When I arrived for my appointment I was seen by a nurse straight away and put at ease. I found all the staff at the unit considerate and caring, carrying out their duties very efficiently, but still time to give  reassurance. 

After my procedure a nurse considerately explained to me the findings of the colonoscopy and provided me with a written report.

I can’t thank the excellent staff at the unit enough for making the appointment  as painless as possible.
