"Care of my Dad"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

Had to go to Wishaw General with my Dad as he was having chest pain, the ambulance crew John and George were friendly and reassuring, the staff in A& E were all very nice, but the student nurse Amy in ECU was lovely and when filling in her information sheets had came down to my Dad's eye level to speak to him, she was friendly warm and professional and I'm sure will make a very good nurse. I would just like to thank all the staff for making a stressful day easier to get through.

Dear Family reassured,

Thank you for taking the time to post the experience of your Dad while attending the ED and following admission to ECU.

I will ensure the staff are given your positive feed back and the kind words about Amy one of our students on placement within ECU.

Once again thanks for your kind words and hope that your Dad is recovering well.

best wishes

Andy

Dear Family Reassured,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am very sorry that your father required the use of your services and that of the wider NHS Scotland. It sounds like your father had quite a frightening experience and of course, this would be very stressful for yourself also. Chest pain is always a scary symptom to experience for all those involved.

I am however very please to read about the positive experience that you and your father had during this very stressful event. It is always really nice to see that patients and their families take time out of their very busy schedules to make the effort to recognise the workers of the NHS.

I do hope that your father is on the road to a full recovery now and you are also well.

Thanks again.

Kind Regards

Alan
