"Broken ankle"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I broke my ankle while out walking the dog and required to be taken to hospital by ambulance. I was taken to Wishaw General Hospital. My experience was fantastic. I am overwhelmed by the kindness and caring attitudes of all (and I really mean all) people I came into contact with including the paramedics, porters, A& E nurses, doctors, assistants, anaesthetists, ward nurses, physiotherapists. They were all wonderful and made what might have been a horrendous experience into a bearable one.
