"My daughter who has DDH"

When I was pregnant with my daughter and went for my 40 week check up at the midwife she thought I may be breach, went for scan at Crosshouse, and yeah my baby was in breach position. Got a planned section, and when my daughter and I got out we went through medical check before being discharged. They thought she may have 'clicky hips' and xray showed she did.

We were sent home to wait for an appointment to go back to hospital. Weeks passed and we attended ALL out appointments and my girl was placed in a pelvic harness for 12 weeks with check ups either weekly or fortnightly and her Doctor @ Crosshouse led us to believe the harness was working. However this was not the case and after a second opinion from an consultant at Yorkhill Hospital he found her to have the severest DDH he had come across.

I was upset and angry about how Crosshouse Hospital could mis-diagnose my daughter (also there is a catalogue of complaints I have about the care the provided us)

But the reason for writing here today is to appreciate a doctor who works at Yorkhill Hospital and is currently treating my daughter. I would like to say you have an amazing consultant in Dr Jim Huntly and would highly recommend him to anyone I know. He treats us as individuals and not numbers, greets us by name even in the canteen on the passing, he tells us the truth and doesnt try to cut corners! I appreciate how much he does for us and the lengths he goes to see us right. I just felt the need to share this as I don't know where to go to sing his praises to anyone. After the way our treatment was at Crosshouse, i was so nervous about trusting anyone, but i can't fault Dr Huntly. He is an amazing member of staff and a credit to the hospital.
