About: Pinderfields General Hospital

What could be improved

I received an appointment through the post (cannot make them when I attend the clinic) which I could not make due to work commitments. Was told in May 2012 that the next available appointment was September 2012. When I do attend this clinic, I have to wait well past my appointment time - often up to 90 minutes late. Whilst this is advertised when you get there, it is not mentioned on the appointment letter.

We appreciate that it can be frustrating to wait for an appointment. The timeframe quoted would be for the next available routine appointment; if the patient's condition has worsened, then an earlier appointment can be requested by the GP.

We do try to keep to appointment times within clinics as much as possible, although delays can occur as a result of emergencies or more complex patient needs.
