I had to register the death of an elderly relative and for a variety of reasons

had only one day left of the five days in which a death has to be registered. The Doctor whose signature was needed was not at work on that day.

The receptionist went to a great deal of trouble, contacting, the coroner and the registrar's office for me as well as trying to contact the doctor. Eventually the problem was solved when the doctor came in to the surgery on her day off to give her signature. Throughout, she was efficient, pleasant and helpful. Explaining the problem to me and in no way making me feel that she was discommoded by having to solve the problem in the middle of a busy day.

Other reception staff were equally friendly and pleasant.
