Worst surgery ever. Reception staff are so rude and unhelpful, feel like your being a nuisance. They tell you to call 1st thing for an appointment, you can never get through, by 915 all appointments gone, you then have to wait for someone to call you back which could be 3 to 4 hours later. Nurses are lovey as are most of the Doctors. They have tried to change waiting area for more privacy but you can still hear everything. Whilst I was there one day a very old and frail lady came to reception desk, she looked very unwell with fluid coming out of her ear. she explained she could not get through on the phone so walked up to book through reception, the receptionist told her to go home and phone, poor lady looked so upset and you could see she was in pain. Why could they not tell her to take a seat to see if there was anything they could do? The reception staff need more customer service skills. I have tried to register somewhere else but no luck. Would never recommend this surgery to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback. I think you have hit the nail on the head in regard to the lack of resource in primary care. We are not a bottomless pit of GPs and nurses; we have a finite resource and when it has been used up, that’s it.

Sadly the reception staff are in the firing line every day. They get the rudeness and aggression from patients when there aren’t any appointments left but can do little about it.

Maybe we need to rethink how primary care works.
