I am a type 2 Diabetic. I have used the Podiatry Service in Malvern, Prospect View, Court Road Surgery since 2013. Early in my diagnosis all that was required was regular nail attention. . By 2017 the condition of my nails had begun to worsen while my feet remained in reasonable condition. It has always been a long wait for an appointment and my last one was in May 2018 when my big-toe nails dropped off which was attended to by the Podiatry staff. I have had my nails partially cut by my wife to avoid the long wait for an appointment and my feet are inspected regularly by a practice nurse. I put in my card for an appointment in April 2019, after my regular diabetic assessment. When no contact was made by May 23, 2019 I rang the contact number to be told that "my referral had been cancelled and to get another from my doctor". (I haven't seen one of those for years!). No notification of this was given; leaving me waiting; not only to be told I can't have an appointment but also waiting to see a Doctor for another referral..............................
