About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Paediatric surgery ( Wards 3A & 3B)

(as a service user),

My 2 year old has been treated by Dr Hajivassiliou at the RHC. This man is utterly amazing and I have never came across a surgeon so caring and compassionate towards not only my son but me. I don’t even think he knows how amazing he is. I work at the hospital and we spoke of annual leave and he said I don’t take mine who would look after the children. If that is not dedication to his job and the children I do not know what is. He deserves all the praise in the world. He is everything a health care professional should be and more. If more clinicians were like him the world would be a better place.

It can be a stressful time attending hospital with a young child, however it is lovely to hear that you feel both you and your son received such compassionate care from Mr Hajivassiliou. Pam,

He is doing great all thanks to Dr Hajivassiliou. I was fortunate enough to be at the children’s hospital yesterday in a ward Mr Hajivassiliou has patients in and all the staff talk so highly of him aswell and how amazing he is with the children. He’s one of a kind I’m sure of that. Thank you for your response.
