"Acute Medical Unit B ward"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

I was transferred from A&E to the above unit.

The staff were wonderful nothing was too much trouble.

They work very hard often under trying circumstances.

I would just mention that the patients toilets/bathrooms left a great deal to be desired so consequently apart from using the toilet I did not shower as I felt they were disgusting.

I did complain to the PALS team and the showers were cleaned but they should be done more regularly bearing in mind the cross contamination of infections etc., as they are always reiterating to wash hands often due to infection control.

Thank you firstly for your kind comments.

These have been passed to A&E for their information.

We are sorry to read of your concerns with the showers and glad that you contacted PALS for assistance and our senior colleagues in A&E will also be made aware of this.
