I have longterm multiple illnesses and health conditions which are extremely complicated causing impacts on my daily living and quality of life.
I suffer severe pain daily, and discomfort continuously, all due to chronic rare skin conditions, combined with fibromyalgia and depression with terrible anxiety along with continuous worry about my situation I or no one seems to be able to help or support me very well with everything combined.
My latest GP appointment, which was not with my regular GP,was in no other words but severely disappointing when I have recently had a nasty injury to my left knee and right ankle caused by a fall(on top of what I'm already trying to cope with)I felt the doctor I seen showed signs of ignorance and negligence for me to come away feeling patronised with a sticky note with the name of something I am diagnosed with named 'neuro dermatitis'.
I asked the doctor if they knew what this was and they shrugged their shoulders while googling this for me, then said, you can look it up!
Then when I'm explaining the pain I suffer which disturbs my sleep, and mental illness becomes even more intense. I was told people have to just learn to deal with pain!
I feel I've not been taken seriously or been shown any compassion or understanding regarding how I am really suffering and mental health is genuinely deteriorating in relation to all of this.
"A GP appointment that did not go well for myself"
