"The nurses could not have been kinder"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had been complaining of a sore knee and things progressed so much I felt the need to take her to A&E. From there we were taken to the children’s ward via X-ray where they decided to keep her overnight for observation. After assessment from an orthopaedic consultant it was decided she need to be admitted for iv antibiotics for 5 days and more studies. The nurses on the ward could not have been kinder to a scared little girl and to a pretty scared mummy too.

Dear laur0911

I was sorry to hear that your daughter required admission to Borders General Hospital with a sore knee. I am pleased to hear that all of our staff from the Emergency Department, Orthopaedic Consultant and Ward 15 took great care of you and your daughter through this scary time.

I hope your daughter has now fully recovered and I would like to thank you for taking the time to use Care Opinion to share your story.

Regards,

Karen
