"A&E admission followed by MAU"

About: Royal Derby Hospital / Emergency department

I was admitted with elevated heart rate and erratic ecg readings taken by paramedics. Seamless and excellent treatment throughout my stay, both in A&E and MAU. The care and patience shown by staff (I am almost deaf) was second to none. Once enough tests had been done doctors explained the 'plan' to return my ecg to normal (or as normal as it gets at 75 years of age) and, after being moved to MAU, I was monitored to ensure the beta blockers were working well before being discharged with (surprisingly in our past experience) prompt delivery of meds from pharmacy. Thank you to all the staff who are a credit to the Trust.
