"Nothing negative to say"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Gynaecology

I was admitted to maple ward late on Monday 15th May, when I arrived I was greeted by the night staff and shown to my bed where I stayed for 9 days! I had major surgery on the Thursday morning which didn’t go quite to plan and I ended up being quite poorly. Now from start to finish of my stay I cannot fault but only praise the staff. Being a young girl I was very embarrassed due to the circumstances and the nurses and HCOs made me feel at ease and like I was normal. I was scared and worried what was going to happen to me and every step of the way there was always someone there whether it be to ask a question to or hold my hand when I cried. Due to being on the ward for so long I became apart of the furniture and I felt like apart of the family with staff going out of their ways to say hello and goodbye when their shifts started and ended. Now that’s what I call going above and beyond. All I can say is you are an extremely talented and caring team and thank you for saving my life and looking after me!

Many thanks for taking the time to provide such lovely feedback especially during what must have been a very difficult time for you. The staff on the ward work extremely hard to provide high standards of care for our patients and I will be delighted to share your comments with the team.
