"Thankyou CDU"

I recently spent 5 days on CDU due to an overdose. Obviously I was in a bad state of mind but the CDU staff really helped bring my spirits up. Staff were always willing to listen if I needed a chat and all took the time to induce themselves and check if I'm ok regularly, this helped with my anxiety alot, they also kept me informed on what was happening and when. I have to give a massive shoutout to my nurse on one of the days and the support she showed me was incredible, she listened to my worries and gave me some very good advice. Another person I have to give a shout out to is a nursing assistant she is honestly incredible, her support will never be forgotten, she was always there to listen and give encouraging words and even when she was on other parts of the unit she would pop in to check I was doing ok. The way she deals with mental health patients is very admirable for someone her age as people can sometimes struggle with how to deal with it. Everyone on the unit was lovely but these two members of staff really did go above and beyond, working in the industry isn't just about looking after medical needs it's about caring and understanding and these two certainly have that. If there is any awards I can find where you nominate staff I will certainly nominating these two. But
