"Minor Injuries Unit"

About: Stratford Hospital

I suspected that I scratched the cornea of my right eye whilst removing a contact lense on Friday evening. The eye was still sore when I woke up,so, not having been to the Minor Injuries Unit before I rang the Stratford Hospital to check if it was the sort of thing they can deal with. I was put straight through to the Minor Injuries Unit who picked up the call immediately. They told me to come in so they could take a look. Upon arrival my details were taken and I was seen immediately by the duty nurse. After a thorough examination of the eye I was given medication to treat the eye and the nurse explained to me what possible further symptoms I needed to be aware of and what to do and where to go should the eye deteriorate. I have nothing but praise following my experience of the Minor Injuries Unit. The staff were excellent and the service was flawless.
