By chance both my husband and I were referred for colonoscopies within a few days of each other. in all we had three visits I had a Colonoscopy and a Flexibile Sigmoidoscopy and my husband had a Colonoscopy. My husband had two polyps removed. I had five polyps removed and later one very large polyp removed.
We were both apprehensive about the procedures but from the moment we entered Endoscopy Department we were put at our ease. Everything was explained to us clearly and we were treated with care and dignity. We were both comfortable throughout and made sure we were able to leave in a good condition. The administration team were very efficient, the nursing team were supportive and well trained and the consultants were considerate and highly professional. We felt totally safe throughout the procedures before we left we were handed leaflets about the possible findings and notes on the exact procedure that had taken place.
"Endoscopy 2 week referral was superb"
