15 /05 2019 I was more than nervous on this day, as I had been to see the consultant 2 days before, and he had juggled his work rota around to allow me to come back quickly to have this procedure on my eye done. he told me all the pros and cons of this op with great care and thought for me .
it must be hard sometimes for these people to say every thing will be ok when sometimes it does not turn out that way but on the day of the op you got the feeling that these people [ and I hope you know who they are !] became sort of good friends of yours.
a smile, a reassuring commentary on what they were doing and even holding my hand! before you know it its over and done so when we sometimes moan about the NHS I will always remember this day as a day when I met some strangers who I would be happy at any time to call them friends thank you all for your skill and compassion you showed me on that day. wjs
"nervous but why ?"
