"Trying to contact the early pregnancy service"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as the patient),

I phoned the early pregnancy unit over a week ago, left voicemails and an email to which I had to keep phoning and leaving more to get a response. Finally got a form to fill in which I did and sent back straight away, still heard nothing back for two days, emailed again and was told I'd be contacted by the cherry team that was Monday this is now Friday and I've still heard nothing? This is my second pregnancy with FV and the first one seemed a lot more organised. I now feel like I'm harassing everyone by continually contacting them so I can get my first appointment booked.

Dear Yzus

May I take this opportunity to say many congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope you are keep well, it will be a busy and exciting time for you and your family.

I was really sorry to read of the difficulty you have been having trying to arrange an appointment with the early pregnancy team. Please accept my apologies, it must be very frustrating and disappointing for you, having found it to be a smoother service during your first pregnancy.

I am unsure of where things have gone wrong and would really like the opportunity to look into what has happened. We have recently been undergoing some significant changes with systems at the hospital, we are also in the process of introducing a new model of care, where you will be allocated a midwife to support you all the way through your pregnancy, and wonder if this has been the cause of difficulties you have been having trying to get an appointment.
