"I'm looking for relapse prevention"

About: Borders Community Services / Borders Addiction Service

(as a service user),

I have been receiving treatment from the addiction service on and off for the past 6 years during which time I have received both good care and  not such good care.

Right now I feel as though I'm not being supported. I was badly assaulted a couple of years ago and have been waiting to be seen by a psychologist to help with PTSD since then. The care worker I have seems to go though the motions, I'm looking for relapse prevention but all I am offered is more methadone if I'm struggling.

Dear chachacp77

Firstly let me apologize for the delay in my response, I am sorry that you have had a mixed experience with our addictions service and that you currently do not feel supported. I am sorry you have experienced a delay to be seen by a psychologist and would ask that you contact me on 01896 827156 to discuss this matter to enable me to get more detail and try to support you the best way I can.

Kind regards

Philip Grieve
