I had to have an MRI 11th May 2019 in the afternoon. I cannot thank the ladies on duty enough for their professionalism and understanding as I was so very scarred being so claustrophobic I am off the scale!! I was supposed to have one about 8-9 years ago but I did a runner as the machine frightened me so very much. This time I spoke to my Doctor beforehand and he gave me Diazepam 5mg to take an hour before the scan, which I did. The ladies talked me through the procedure and apart from the ear plugs, which is compulsory, they gave me.an eye mask and headphones to listen to the radio. Yes it is loud but if you concentrate on the radio and your breathing you will be fine. Thank you ladies for your help and support which contributed to me being able to have the scan. If I can do it so can you. I am the sort of person who can only go into a lift providing no-one else is in it and if some-one else gets in it, I have to get out!!! PLUS the scanner is smaller than the previous one so all was good. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Cath appointment was 2.50pm xx
