"Discharge Lounge"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

My wife was admitted via A&E on Sunday evening excellent treatment in A&E by Doctors and Nurses then transferred to the acute ward later that evening later that evening then transferred to Ward 36 on Monday morning the Ward is brand new very clean with good dedicated staff but the lack of heating in the ward and ensuite facilities needs resolving especially as all four ladies on my wife's ward were elderly. But who has decided to move the Discharge Lounge from the front of the hospital to the rear needs to review this decision urgently, I was contacted to say my wife could come home Tuesday morning I suffer from PAD an the work from the disabled car park at the front of the hospital to the repositioned discharged lounge was very difficult for me and the return journey with the wife and her bags was even more difficult please consider people with walking difficulties when making these decisions
