The NHS is under considerable financial pressure, staffing capacity issues, with an urgent need to innovate and change rapidly. This is not easy, however Rutland House surgery, where I have been a patient for 18 years seems to be deal with these pressures and changes rather well. My family and myself have always been able to secure an emergency appointment on the day needed, and have been satisfied with diagnosis and management of any ailments or conditions suffered. The GP telephone consultations are a bonus if required.

Recently I needed to visit the nurse on a regular basis for management of an ailment. Her expertise and experience was outstanding, I really appreciated and benefited from this. In addition I wish to compliment her courteous nature and extremely professional mannerism. She is a great asset to the surgery, on several occasions she started earlier than her normal working hours or stayed longer to see me, which I am extremely grateful.
