"never been so impressed with a public service..."

I had to go to Derriford Acute Admissions after seeing my GP about breathlessness in my third trimester of pregnancy. We had less than a ten minute wait before my tests began. I had a chest x Ray, a V/Q scan, an ECG, blood tests and a long consultation with a doctor who explained all my results. At every step everything was thoroughly explained to me and my partner, including the risk, of any, to the baby. Everyone we saw from receptionists to porters to imaging staff to doctors were really just exemplary. This place should be the standard all hospitals strive to meet. The experience was the sort of thing you would expect from a top private hospital. Well done NHS!!!
