"Kindness, patience and respect"

About: Borders General Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (Ward 9)

(as the patient),

I spent several days on surgical unit, Ward 9. Also attended outpatients, radiology, nuclear medicine,

Everywhere I went I was met with kindness, patience and respect.

I Felt confident in my carers and was well Cared for,

The hospital is spotlessly clean

Food is perfectly adequate, and plentiful

Beds are comfortable

Privacy is respected at all times

On the negative side I have to say that the noise on the ward was intolerable at times. Much is unavoidable, but a lot could be reduced with a little forethought

Hi

I would like to say how much we appreciated you taking the time to give us your feedback. I am glad that your experience, on ward 9, on the whole was a positive experience and that you felt cared for. This is how we would want our patients to feel ad that you felt confident in your carers. It is also really reassuring that you found the hospital, in general, so clean.

Reagrding the noise, I am sorry that there were times when you found this intolerable. This is something I can share with the team to ensure that we keep noise to a minimum where possible.

I hope that you are making a good recovery from your stay with us in Ward 9. I will share your feedback with all of our staff on the ward.

Kind regards

Grace
