I turned up at the front desk at the emergency department with a suspected stroke and within minutes I was seen by the triage nurse. I then had a Cat scan and an MRI scan all on the same day. A very special nurse made me feel really positive in a very scary situation by demonstrating her professional skills and knowledge as well as a really caring attitude towards my mental wellbeing. Her love for her job was amazing. The doctor also demonstrated a caring attitude and his professionalism also put my mind at ease. All the staff from start to finish of my experience demonstrates that the NHS is without any doubt the greatest establishment this country has.
