"Excellent Home Carer Workers"

My mum, who had a stroke 3 years ago which left her with mobility problems,   speech problems and swallowing problems, was able to remain in her home up until just before she died in April 2019. The care, attention and true friendship she received from the home care workers who cover the  Kings Park area of Glasgow was fantastic.

Every home care worker I met  had taken time to know my mum, worked at  mum's pace when delivering her personal care, encouraged her to eat and drink and phoned or left a note for me and my sister if they had any small worries  about mum and rapidly escalated any major concerns to their managers which were always dealt with swiftly by the home care team. Maintaining continuity of home carers was vital to mum given her complex needs and limited communication and in particular  Kirsty, Emma and the two Margaret's gave that continuity visiting mum each day with a smile, providing some local news for her and delivering care to a very high standard.

You have a fabulous team there so thank you Glasgow City Council Home Care for the care your south side team delivered and for maintaining the continuity of carers which enabled my mum to feel safe and loved in her own home.
