About: Woodend Hospital / Pre-operative Assessment Clinic

(as the patient),

Today I was requested to attend an outpatient appointment - anaesthetics - Pre -Assessment at Clinic C£PA Nurse - Complex 6, ARI.

I was checked out by 2 nurses, initially for samples and physical measurements and  a heart beat etc check.

The second nurse was more senior, did a check on my past medical history with questions, check on my current health and medication, completed a large questionnaire and explained all questions professionally I did not fully understand.

Finished by a physically checking by heart and lungs.

I found the whole assessment professional and worthwhile done by extremely competent individuals.

Pre-operative assessment is very important for the preparation required before being admitted to hospital for an operation.
