"Coming here has helped me get out of the house"

About: Castleview Day Centre

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Coming here has helped me get out of the house as I have been looking at the same four walls for a long time now. Even just getting out for a few hours gives you the opportunity to see and speak with other people. I. am now starting to feel less isolated. Loneliness is a terrible thing. I like meeting new people as I've always been a sociable person when I was much younger.   I know I am quiet but its a lot to do with not hearing right but I do like a bleather if you speak with me first, The staff here are really quite good. Sometimes I watch them and its obvious they  know exactly what they are doing.

Dear The Quiet Man 2

Many thanks for you taking the time to tell us about your thoughts and experiences of day services provided by North Ayrshire Council.

It is very encouraging for us to read that you are seeing your level of isolation reducing as you attend the day service and that your are feeling the benefit of interacting with other people who also attend the service.

As far as the North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership are concerned it is also very nice to read your kind comments about the application and effort that is evident throughout the staff team.

Once again, many thanks.
