I had a diagnostic laparoscopy for suspected endometriosis at this hospital in February and was disgusted with the service I received. I was given my IV in the wrong part of my hand causing a lot of pain and a heavy amount of gauze to be applied to stem the bleeding, was given little to no advice following my procedure and was given no painkillers or any form of aftercare. I was told that I would return to the hospital in three months for a check up but have received no word of this despite trying to get into contact with the hospital on several occasions (the phone just rings out). I am still in a lot of pain so would like to discuss my options. The way my bellybutton was stitched was horrifying, and even the staff at my local walk in centre were shocked. The skin below my bellybutton was bunched up and far too tight meaning the stitches prevented me from actually standing up straight and walking for a week. It was shocking to see and I was in a lot of pain for a long time as a result. My Aunt who is a nurse actually ended up removing the stitches herself by pulling at my skin as this had gone on for a week and a half at this point. I would definitely not recommend this hospital to anybody I know and I am upset at the distress this caused me.
