"Ongoing problems with not getting referrals from UHB"

I am a member of staff at the University Hospital.

In January, I had a bad back so I went to A&E to see if they could do anything for me. I was seen by a consultant who sent me for a MRI scan and said he would refer me to a neuro surgeon. This never happened, despite an abnormality on the scan.

I came back the review clinic last week, where once again I was seen by a doctor who said they would refer me to a neuro surgeon and the surgeon would ring me the following week.

This hasn't yet happened, nearly six months off work and still no help from the UHB. What a disgrace.
