Came in with my 19 weeks old baby on Tuesday afternoon. From A&E to the ward within an hour. Whilst in children's A&E, we was seen by a nurse, then doctor. Minimal waiting, there wasn't any other patient at the time. Baby was assessed and they put her on drips. Whilst that was happening, they were sorting out a room for us. They took us to the ward. Met the nurse. She really looked after us. Then doctors came and went. Had another nurse for morning shift, very friendly too. Cannot remember her name. She got my baby a toy to keep her distracted. Doctors came and did more assessment. Nurses come and go during her drips and giving medicine. Cleaners came every morning to clean the room. Was done thoroughly. She was also nice and friendly. We was served food, although one meal was forgotten, nothing to worry about, least of worries. But the nurse on shift, got us a sandwich and snacks, kept me fed and hydrated as I was breastfeeding. Overall I think they all helped and looked after us. I had a choice of either Queens hospital in Romford or King George Hospital in Ilford. Made the right choice of coming to Kings. Hopefully we don't have to come back again, but if we need to, I will bring my baby here.
