I have been meaning to write for a long time (every time I visit the surgery!) about how wonderful the practice nurse in particular at my GP surgery  (the Gardner Street surgery) is - although I have met both GPs and they are also lovely!

I had my first ever smear test at this surgery, and the nurse was so reassuring she put me at ease, and I have been back 3 years later for my next one and my experience was just the same. When I meet the nurse (e.g. for blood pressure checks for medication) I always come away thinking about how lovely she is with patients, and think we should make copies of her and distribute them across the NHS! 

I am so sorry to refer to her as "the nurse" - embarrassingly I don't know her name, but must make a point to ask her when I see her next! As I have said, both GPs are also lovely and I would recommend this surgery to anyone.
