On arriving the two ladies on reception we talking so I politely waited, even though I myself was running 10mins late. I was directed upstairs at which point I found the door was locked. I know K, no reply. I rang the telephone number, no reply. I went back downstairs and explained to the lady on reception who rang upstairs, no reply. She tried another number, where they did pick up this time and said they would unlock the door for me. The lady who met me said the Dr would no see me as I was over 10mins late - not true as I arrived exactly 10mins late. Due to the lack of service on their part the situation was made worse. I asked her to speak to the Dr again and say I was only 10mins late and that I was sure I wouldn't take up the full appointment time anyway. She went back inside to do so, offering me a seat. She came back to tell me the Dr had left the premises. I understand that a Friday with a bank holiday following everyone wants to get home early however I have waited months for this appointment and I feel the way I was treated today was horrendous. In normal life being 10 minutes late does not mean you are refused, how can the NHS been operating like this? Very, very dissapointed. The UK systems not working once again.
"Terrible service"
