What I liked

I attended A&E with a head injury. The service was outstanding. The level of care was beyond what I would have expected. The nurses were considerate, caring and extremely professional. The Doctors were also extremely thoughtful. I could not have asked for better care.

What could be improved

Slightly disorganised when arranging for a CAT scan. The nurse was left to chase this up more than once. Whilst this was not an issue to me, I felt the communication back from the scanning department could be improved to assist the staff.

I am so please you felt the care at Tameside Hospital’s A&E Department was outstanding. I will certainly convey your kind comments to the staff concerned. We will also look into the issue you raise about communication between our A&E and the scan department, I hope you are much recovered.
