"Can't fault the care but be prepared for a wait!"

About: Birmingham Midland Eye Centre (Bmec)

As the title says really. Arrived at 8:50 am this morning and wasn't seen by a doctor until 12:40. I went up as a self referral due to feeling something gritty at the top of my eye which was causing discomfort. I appreciate that people are seen in priority order but I feel that the wait I had wasn't acceptable. It does state that waiting time is 1-2 hours. The doctor was very apologetic and lovely plus she sorted my problem swiftly once in her care, which was great.

Thank you for your feedback. I am pleased to hear that your treatment went well on your visit to BMEC although I am very sorry to hear of your waiting time. In light of this I have passed on your comments, both positive and negative, to the team concerned and they will look into how this can be improved in the future. Kind regards, Toby Lewis, Chief Executive.
