"Not taking on new cases!"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

My GP sent an urgent referral, had a letter to say it had been deferred and someone would contact me, if not contacted by 1st May then I was to contact them. Phoned them this morning to be told they're not taking on new cases and don't know what the waiting time will be! They should have been honest from the start and not left me waiting, when I could have been referred elsewhere!

I am so sorry to read about you not getting a referral and would urge you, if you have not done so already, to raise your concerns with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on (01733) 673405 as we would be keen to learn from your experience.
