What I liked

Superb treatment by both surgical and ward staff. I could not expect better treatment if I had gone private. Judging from comments from friends around the country, Cumbria is extremely lucky in the service it gets.

We are sorry that it has taken so long to respond to you after you had taken the trouble to provide feedback on the NHS Choices website. This is unacceptable so we have set up a new system and hope to provide much faster responses in the future. It is really great to hear that you felt the care you received at the Cumberland Infirmary was superb and that you feel Cumbria is lucky to have such a hospital. Our staff will be really chuffed to hear this. It is really important for us to listen well to all the feedback we receive every year from patients and families – we know it allows us to pay proper attention to the things that really matter to them.
