After being told on the 7th February 2019 I was going to be induced due to reduced movement on the 9th February I was very very nervous considering this was my first baby and how I'd always hoped I wouldn't have to be induced. However from the moment I arrived on the 9th the midwives who cared for me on G3 made me feel alot more at ease and explained what was going to happen. After a very long 42 hours in early labour on G3 I was finally moved to the Labour ward in the early hours of the morning on the 11th February. And this is where I just couldn't believe how well of a service the NHS provides. The first midwife that cared for me until 7am was lovely however it was the 2 midwives who then took over from there who will forever be remembered. From making me laugh to joking about to making sure I was okay at all times to then making me feel at ease when problems started with me and my little girl, she had to be delivered fast by doctors (still vaginal) and neither midwife left my side once! One of them even came and saw me and my little girl on G2 the next day. I can't thank all the midwives, care assistants and doctors who looked after me and my daughter through out my stay. Everyone is so friendly and caring through every situation. Also a big thank you to my midwife who I saw through out my pregnancy. I was finally discharged in the 13th February after 4 days in hospital. Their care has had such an impact on me I've decided I'd love to become a maternity care assistant! Once again I cant thank everyone enough.
