"NHS Health check"

Had an NHS health check last week.......the procedure was a farce! The health visitor could not answer any of my queries, she didn't even seem to understand the difference between good and bad cholesterol. All she could do was tick boxes by rote.Having been asked about my physical activities and reeling of my long list including being a walk leader for various groups and averaging 5 miles a day she later told me that I needed to walk more .....so obviously didn't understand what I had been saying. My friends and family just laughed at this as they all know me to be an avid hill walker! I felt she had a stereotype opinion of women of my age being inactive and having a low IQ. Also on taking my blood pressure she told me it was rather low but was unable to offer me any advice. I felt this session was a complete waste of time and money! This is the first time in 44 years with this practice that I have had to voice a complaint.
